Our Origin
WOW GEAR®, with its headquarters in Santa Barbara, California was founded in August 2012 by a small group of product and industrial designers from the USA and Norway. They all came together with one common goal, to create and distribute innovative consumer products that truly make a difference in people's lives throughout the world.
The patented 360 WOW Cup® was developed out of a collaborative spirit that addressed a pure market need to create a range of functional and fashionable drinking cups for kids and adults that were spill free, worry free and hassle free.
When we researched the market we found 1000's of kids and adult drinking cups and travel mugs that all required several steps to drink and close the container each and every time you took a drink. Their spill free function was the result of some mechanical button, plug or lever that only complicated ones lifestyle at home, school, work and on-the-go. We knew there was a better way… The result was a new revolutionary drinkware system that is an evolutionary improvement over other spill free cups and bottles in the market. We took all the extra steps out of the drinking process so all you do is Grab & Drink® .

Why the name WOW?
During the genesis period of WOW GEAR® whenever we demonstrated our 360 spill free cup to people around the world, each and every time we drank from the cup and tipped it upside down, the natural response from everyone was "WOW!" No matter which country we were in or the native language, everyone said WOW!
One day when we were brainstorming to come up with the name of the product and the company that also fit our mission of creating innovative products that make a difference in people's lives, we decided on WOW GEAR® and the product category WOW Cup®. We figured, if we can universally create a WOW Experience with our new spill free cup, why not create more products with a common WOW Experience theme with a name that is universally understood.
A WOW Experience does not come around too often, but when it does, you know it!
